CORDODES: Realidad Aumentada, el futuro del Turismo

Abstract

"Virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) technologies have had a significant impact in various sectors around the world (Shi-Yin, Yaoyuneyong, & Johnson, 2011). The Application in different areas such as education, industry and health, made it possible to detect that augmented and virtual reality provides a positive impact that can be applied in the dissemination of tourism. In Veracruz, tourism has decreased in the years 2015 and 2016 (Secretariat of Tourism (SECTUR) 2017), derived by several factors that have affected the diffusion in the state. ”The CORDODES project” considers promoting the historical sites of the city of Córdoba, Veracruz, through an innovative application of Augmented and Virtual Reality that allows the visualization of the most representative sites considering the management of time, showing the sites in their current version and in its original version; which will enrich the tourist experience in the tours that take place within the city."
